Extensively trained, certified ophthalmic technicians assist with your examination and perform special testing, helping your doctor focus on the issues important to you. For patients requiring surgery, special surgical coordinators are available to help schedule your procedure, answer additional questions, and arrange for post-operative care. Insurance and finance personnel are always available to assist with pre-authorization and referral issues, to answer questions related to medical insurance, and to help make special arrangements for payment when necessary. Front office staff help coordinate your visit by scheduling appointments, assisting with paperwork, and arranging referrals to specialists.

At Fishkind, Bakewell and Maltzman we are strong proponents of continuing education. Staff participate in ongoing formal education programs, addressing topics from governmental healthcare regulations to the latest in medical technology. We constantly re-elaluate our practice procedures and strive to improve our level of service. We try to run efficiently and see you at your scheduled apppointment time. Many factors affect this schedule, however, and we occasionally run late. We believe in giving each patient the time and attention they require, which may be more than alloted by appointment. Emergencies also arise, and may need to be worked in to the schedule for reasons of safety. Please be patient and understand that you will receive the same courtesy.
