Specializing in small-incision cataract surgery as well as the medical and surgical management of glaucoma, Dr. Maltzman is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology as well as the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the American Glaucoma Society, and the Chandler-Grant Glaucoma Society. He is currently the president-elect of the Arizona Ophthalmological Society, and serves on several committees of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Maltzman received his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey- Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and served his internship and ophthalmology residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. He completed a glaucoma fellowship with Tufts/New England Eye Center and the Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston. He has been practicing here in Tucson since 2002.
Dr. Maltzman serves as a clinical instructor at Midwestern University School of Medicine.
Dr. Maltzman is married with two children. In his free time he enjoys time with family, photography (shooting mostly landscapes and his kids), and target shooting.
